Football’s most prestigious awards ceremony will stream live and free only on DAZN in 200 markets*
LONDON, 8 September 2026 – DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, will broadcast the Ballon d’Or™ live and free to fans around the world, bringing football’s most prestigious individual awards ceremony to a global audience.
The Ballon d’Or™ returns to DAZN on Monday, 26 October 2026 when the sport’s top players will gather in London to discover who will lift the game’s most coveted and prestigious individual prize.
The awards ceremony has celebrated football’s finest talent since 1956. Awarded annually by the magazine France Football, it honours the players who have defined the season thanks to their individual performance, their track record, and their conduct off the field. Winners last year include Paris Saint-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembélé, who won the Men’s award, and Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmatí, who claimed the Women’s Ballon d’Or™ for a record third consecutive year.
Alongside the live broadcast, DAZN will act as a Global Gold Sponsoring Partner of the Ballon d’Or™, in the “Sports Broadcast Services” and “Sports OTT Services” categories, increasing the group’s presence at one of football’s most recognised events. Fans can also expect dedicated content and coverage across DAZN’s channels in the build-up to the ceremony.
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, said: “The Ballon d’Or™ is one of the most iconic events in football and a celebration of the players who inspire fans around the world. We are delighted to welcome the Ballon d’Or™ back to DAZN and to make it available free to fans in 200 markets globally. As the global home of sport, fans come to DAZN for some of the biggest events and best viewing experiences, and the Ballon d’Or™ is a perfect addition to our comprehensive football portfolio. It’s a great example of how DAZN connect fans with the defining moments of the beautiful game.”
The nominees for the 2026 Ballon d’Or™ will be announced on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
